Hasköy Secondary School 

The school is located around Golden Horn area in Beyoglu, Istanbul. It is a public low-secondary school which has approximately 1100 students ranging from 10-14 years old.

The population is very mixed either from a financial point of view or from an intellectual capacity angle. The school offers a great variety of actions to fit the different students’ needs.

There are several pupils with special needs and they don’t have any specific class at school. It means that they also go on their lessons in any typical class. They don’t have much possibility to develop their skills. There are also several pupils with learning difficulties of different type (dyslexia, disorders) and immigrants from several Middle East countries, and we have also have refugees students.We also welcome some students with special handicap (like autistic students…) and try to insert them as well as possible to the real world.

The whole team of teachers likes to invest themselves in many projects to keep the students’ interest alive. Teachers support the pupils and help them to develop their emotional intelligence and talent in order to let them achieve the key competences for their lives as teenagers and adults, citizens tomorrow in the society. The education quality is getting better day by day due to our young and dynamic education staff.

Almost all school area is an archeological remains such as The Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia, The Basilica Cistern, Galata Tower, Istanbul Archeological Museum. Besides, School is close to some historical castles such as Anadolu Hisarı, RumeliHisarı, Riva Castle, Yoros Castle.
