I PLAY WITH YOU THOUGH I DO NOT KNOW YOU / HOW SHALL I GET TO KNOW YOU BETTER?

This meeting was devoted to Social and Sports Games, where pupils were able to take part in different games and workshops and get to know one another. Through these activities they could see there are differences among us but at the same time they learned how to cope with them and accept them. The activities that we prepared were: – Social games – each country prepared a social game, either to practice kindness, build community or develop cooperation, with the aim to get to know one another and include everyone in our “project community”; – Workshop – a Situational Role Play (Situation: A new pupil wants to join a group of classmates. The situation and the children’s characteristics were known in advance and pupils needed to take them into account and act out accordingly. They had to write the text themselves.); – Talking circle – pupils expressed how they felt while role playing (through picture or word); – Sports games – each country prepared a typical national sports game, preferably a team game (working in different teams each time) in order to accept and learn about differences among us; – A KAHOOT Quiz about the participating countries (with the pupils attending the meeting); – Display of Posters with instructions for the previously played social and sports games & presentations of these (mixed groups); – Delivery of the different credentials earned by pupils (badges, certificates).

At the end of our transnational meeting teachers and pupils both agreed that the meeting was successful as real bonds were created and pupils crossed the beginning boundaries among them quickly, also due to the games they played in the said project activities.
